About the project
A useful front door for Boulder Creek.
Boulder Creek Local is being built to make dependable local information easier to find, understand, and keep current.
The mission
Reduce friction. Strengthen local connection.
Residents should not need ten tabs to check conditions, find a service, or learn what is happening. Visitors should have enough context to arrive prepared and respectfully.
Useful first
Every page should help someone answer a real question or take a clear next step.
Source-aware
Time-sensitive information should point back to the responsible agency or organizer.
Open to correction
Local information changes. There should always be a simple way to flag an update.
Independence
Listings are not endorsements.
Nothing on this site is paid placement, and no business can pay to change a factual status or a correction. Listings are included because they are useful, not because anyone paid for them.

The publisher
Who runs Boulder Creek Local
Boulder Creek Local is published by Adrienne Gaughan. Born and raised in Boulder Creek, she runs her businesses and raises a family here on a small homestead with chickens, ducks, one goose named Lucy, dogs, cats, and a garden. She built this site because the town's information was scattered across agency pages and group threads, hard to find and harder to read, and it belonged in one place. She believes in shopping local and supporting the businesses that keep a small town running.
