What it is, and how it runs
Counter service, outside seating, Mexican food. You order at the truck, and you eat at a table on the lot rather than in a dining room. In summer that's most of the appeal. In a February downpour it's the reason Taqueria Los Gallos, a sit-down taqueria on the same street, is the other half of the town's Mexican answer.
I've said elsewhere on this site that I could eat Mexican food every day of the week, and between this truck and Los Gallos, some weeks I nearly manage it. The order in our house splits down the middle. My partner swears by the quesabirria, which comes as three and is somehow never quite enough food, so he always has me add a fourth to round out the order. I'm the vegetarian, and the veggie burrito is the traditional kind, no rice filler, just the beans and the goodies, the way it should be.
The kitchen runs the same hours six days a week: 11 to 3, then a break, then 4 to 7, Monday through Saturday. It's closed Sunday.
