Good Vibes: The Boutique on Central Avenue
Before Roshni Sharma and Tyler Blohm opened Good Vibes, they tested their Boulder Creek designs at First Friday.
They had moved to town roughly two years earlier. The response to those early designs, and a wish to bring something unique to the community, gave them reason to try something permanent, and Good Vibes opened on Halloween 2025 at 13124 Central Avenue.
The store combines two backgrounds and two kinds of inventory that can look unrelated in a list. Roshni brought an interest in curated designs and products that carry a glimpse of her global travels, and a focus on warm, welcoming interiors. Tyler brought streetwear and digital design, along with a selection of indoor plants that adds to the whimsy. The room now holds houseplants and unusual pots alongside locally themed shirts, hoodies, accessories and home goods.
Roshni sketched the original banana-slug design on a piece of paper, and Tyler brought it to life digitally. That is how many of the designs in the store come together. The banana slug is instantly recognizable here, but the finished shirt carries their own version of it.
Good Vibes also gives space to work from other artists and makers. The mix rotates, which lets the shop function as a small marketplace that shows creativity beyond its owners' own work.
What is in the shop
Santa Cruz Mountains inspired souvenirs and decorations, including banana slugs, wooden coasters and graphic tees, most around $24.99. Beyond those, the shop runs global handcrafted women's, men's, and kids' clothing, home goods, accessories, and a section it calls GV Collector Pieces. A recent addition is embroidered clothing and goods, which can also be customized.
It's also the pickup point for official Reindeer Run merchandise. If you're running it or supporting someone who is, the shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants are ordered through the shop and collected downtown, and the shop notes an item is ready about three weeks after purchase.
The store sells online as well, so the Boulder Creek shirt travels to whoever moved away.
Roshni and Tyler
The owners call Good Vibes a passion project. Roshni sketches ideas such as the original banana slug on paper; Tyler develops them digitally. Their two parts of the shop, design-led clothing and houseplants, came together in the permanent room after the First Friday test.
The plants
Easy-care houseplants and unusual pots sit alongside the clothing, and they take up more of the floor than a merchandise list suggests.
The shop also rotates work from independent makers through the floor, which changes what's on the shelves month to month. Recent arrivals have included original canvas work, stickers and a coloring book from artist Rebecca Lynne.
